Zoran Djindjic Fund in cooperation with National Library of Serbia started the project “Selected Works of Zoran Djindjic”. As part of the project four books from the field of philosophy as well as selected articles written by Zoran Djindjic will be published In the following period. Editors of these editions are Sreten Ugricic, Director of the National Library of Serbia and Ruzica Djindjic, President of the Zoran Djindjic Fund.

The first book that was published is Yougoslavia as an Uncomplete State that was released for the first time in 1988. by the Novi Sad Literary Association. Now, after 22 years this book is once again available to the readers and can be found at the majority of University libraries as well as other libraries and book stores throughout the country.

In the introduction to this edition, Nenad Dimitrijevic wrote:

“Theoretician Zoran Djindjic is our contemporary. Without the intention to underestimate everything that has been written and published in former Yugoslavia the field of social sciences, I see this book as, so far, the most significant work in the field of political and constitutional theory. This estimation is based on two insights. Firstly, in the texts compiled in this book, theoretical-ideological paradigms of socialist thought and social constitutionalism, dominant at that time, were criticized for the first time. In this book, for the first time in Yugoslavia a liberal thought about the individual, society and politics was affirmed in a theoretically relevant manner. Secondly, Djindjic does not criticize socialist reality of Yugoslavia from the position of an ideal theoretical model. He wants his reader to realize that a concept of constitutional democracy is impossible as such. For us who prefer constitutional democracy, but live outside its borders, this arrangement becomes theoretically interesting only if t is practically relevant..”
