8.jpgAt the promotion of the book, “Zoran Djindjic - for a democratic Serbia in Europe”, held in the premises of the Zoran Djindjic Fund, German ambassador, Mr. Andreas Zobel made a gift of technical assistance from the German government to the Fund’s managing board chairwoman, Ruzica Djindjic. The program of assistance to the Zoran Djindjic Fund came about thanks to the efforts of the German Association for Technical support and Cooperation (GTZ), the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM) and the German Embassy in Belgrade. The presentation ceremony was also attended, besides the German ambassador, by the CIM Coordinator for the Balkan countries, Mrs. Karin Rau. In his speech in the Zoran Djindjic Fund on this occasion, Ambassador Zobel emphasised that Serbia had been set back by the murder of the Prime Minister and that his legacy - the opening of Serbia towards Europe and its neighbours - ought to serve as an example to politicians in Serbia.
