The 9th Regional Alumni Conference

This year, the ninth Regional Alumni Conference was held in Medulin in Croatia from Tuesday, September 22nd to Sunday, September 25th. The opening of the conference was marked by the formal Reception at the Hotel Park Plaza Belvedere in Medulin. H.E. Mr. Thomas Schultz, the ambassador of the FR of Germany to Croatia, Mrs. Jasna Jaklin Majetic, the president of the Country Chamber and Mr. Janusz Kulik, Member of the Board of der REWE International AG addressed the participants wishing them fruitful and productive conference and nice stay in Croatia. After the formal part of the reception, the alumni Hrvoje Paukovic and Stefan Markov presented the activities of the Alumni club and online CV data base which is consisted of the CVs of the all Alumni members.

The Third Summer School on Democratic Transition and Party Politics in Post-Communist Europe

The Zoran Djindjic Foundation in the cooperation with the Facuty of Political Sciences University of Belgrade and the Department of Politics and Public Administration University of Konstanz organized the third Summer School on democratic transition and party politics in the post-communist Europe from Monday, May 29th to Sunday, June 5th 2016. The Summer school took place in Belgrade at the premises of the Faculty of Political Sciences.The opening remarks was delivered by the H.E. Mr. Axell Dittmann, the German ambassador to Serbia, Marko Simetic, the asssociate dean for BA studies of the Faculty of Political Sciences and Christina Zuber, the assistant professor at the Department of Politics and Public Administration who were given honour to address the participants of the Summer school.

The Summer School introduced the participants into the state of the art of comparative research on transitions to democracy in post-communist societies, with a special focus the development of competitive party systems. The participants developed analytical skills to understand and reflect complex transition challenges and dilemmas, differentiating between typical and case-specific determinants of successful transition to democracy

Regional Alumni Seminar in Novi Sad

Regional Alumni Seminar took place in Novi Sad from Thursday, April 14th to Sunday April 17th 2016. Following the guidelines of the Alumni Sustainability group, Novi Sad Seminar served as pilot seminar where one whole day was dedicated to workshop activities and alumni had opportunity to take part in one whole-day workshop with the goal to gain a comprehensive insight into one of the topics.
